One of the main problems such as corruption is spread all over the country, as well as in our region. With financial support of foundation, "Eurasia" our organization initiated the project "New Initiative-2" to study the problem of corruption.

The goal of the project was to monitor incomes and spending of the State financed organizations therefore, informing the population about the mentioned information. Periodically, the informational bulletins were published in order to inform the public not only about incomes and spending, but articles about the other problems of the region. With this bulletin we tried to articulate accurate information about "Sakrebulo", and Gamgeoba" spending for mobil telephones and diesel taxation. The bulletin also questioned why the town Water Company was not financed, and the reasoning for the increase of job cutting at schools.

By this monitoring, spending from the budget became clear. This monitoring had a great influence on governmental authorities, and the illegal and extra spending from the budget was reduced. This project was directed at anticorruption activities. After these activities, our district's management decided it best to give up their personal automobile and granted it to the medical centre. Previously our management used automobile money to fund their own private ambitions. During these activities, some defective features of Privatization were clarified. We informed the population that a number of valuable buildings were sold for 35, 40, and 50 USD. This is a clear example of corruption. After "Union of Democrat Meskhs", active interference, the process of privatization was interrupted and held to the appropriate structures for searching.

Our organization worked to cut illegal spending for the entire country. Afterwards the Georgian Parliament decided to cut this type of spending in the State budget. Reducing was felt even in region-financed organization's illegal office spending.

The project was formed to create an informational base listing State financed organization's spending and incomes. The population can still get any of mentioned information from the informational base. This project also monitors incomes and informs the population of illegal spending and incomes in the region.
