There are several programmes developed in the sector of health care in our state. They consider various benefits for socially unprotected group of population. Unfortunately, these programmes are not executed due to various reasons, and as a consequence the vulnerable people remain without medical services. In connection to the issues we decide to arrange a meeting between representatives of Unified State Fund for Social Insurance and population of Akhaltsikhe, Akhalkalaki and Ninotsminda districts.

The meeting had been held at Akhaltsikhe Office of Legal Consultation Center on August 4, 2004. It was attended by: Deputy Chief of Samtskhe-Javakheti Regional Filial of Unified State Fund for Social Insurance of Georgia, representatives of Social Security Department of Akhalkalaki district, Director of Public Health Care Department of Akhalkalaki district, Chief Physician of Akhalkalaki Central Hospital, staff members of Akhaltsikhe, Akhalkalaki and Ninotsminda Offices of Legal Consultation Center and community representatives from mentioned districts.

The representatives of relevant offices informed the public about the state programmes, effective in health care sector. The meeting attendants also had discussions regarding the problems, which hinder execution of health care programmes.

In consequence of meeting, wider range of population have became informed about the state programmes, active in health care sector; besides, community representatives had expressed their expectation that the processes on-going in our country will promote fulfillment of mentioned programmes.
